what we do

Benham’s landscape architects and planners work together to achieve a natural balance between the built environment and the natural environment.

To enhance and invigorate both buildings and terrain – aesthetically and functionally – we create graceful landscape plantings and design tasteful hardscape elements, such as stone and brick paving and step designs, water features, memory / contemplation gardens and integration of public art.

Working closely with our architects, our landscape architects develop plans that serve as a natural extension of the surrounding architecture. We create logical and engaging environments, such as streetscapes and urban renewal that respect the desire for people to interrelate as they move through and use the exterior spaces.

We use landscape architecture intelligently to create memorable entrances and to soften a building form. Benham is committed to specifying native plant selections wherever possible. We value the natural environment and its habitats. It shows in our landscape design!
